“Amber Lodge” is a traditional Queensland colonial style home established over 30 years ago. It is immaculately presented and offers “olde world” charm. You can relax in the wood fired guest lounge with a glass of local red and enjoy the charm and atmosphere of your surroundings or simply retreat to the privacy of your room and enjoy watching one of the many movies provided to guests. If you prefer a little quiet time, pick up a book or magazine and sit in a sunny spot on one of the balconies or leafy back deck.
Each room is equipped with WiFi, tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities, with a bar fridge and microwave for your total convenience.
Rosie and Pat are well traveled and take pride in looking after senior traveling guests, offering great discounted rates, and great stories. The “Amber Lodge” signature breakfasts – wild berry crepes or a traditional hot cooked breakfast with all the trimmings, are always available but there are many more options to choose from. Breakfast is seen as the most important meal of the day and your hosts are keen to get your day off to the best start possible. Special diets are easily catered for – and all this is available seven days a week.
For those who enjoy the outdoors, “Amber Lodge” is also within walking distance of the breathtaking botanical gardens, where you can enjoy a picnic lunch or simply read a book under a tree. Also accessible by foot are rainforest walks with flowing waterfalls, abundant botanical and native wildlife. Just down the road is the local Heritage Center where you can learn about the history of the area.
